Learning from Victims

INSIDE THE CRIME NEWS

Mug-In – Lesson Learned

A woman had just locked her front door to leave for work when she suddenly noticed a man standing behind her. She felt what she believed was a gun at her back, and they re-entered her home. The man knocked her unconscious, ransacked her house, and left.
Excerpted from KSWO-TV7 Lawton OK – 02 April 2009

Lesson learned: We become immersed in our daily routines and don’t think to guard against an uncommon threat. It’s human nature – and the common denominator in most crimes. But the victim above, in the future, will likely always scan her surroundings before leaving her home. You should learn from her misfortune and do the same. (By the way, she’s so very lucky she wasn’t harmed further.) See Mug-In for more lessons.
